SRNA: Becirovic and Komsic reject Cvijanovic’s initiative to nominate Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

A few days earlier, Cvijanovic submitted the initiative to the state Presidency, suggesting that Trump be nominated for the prize.

In her explanation, Cvijanovic argued that during his second mandate, the American president had, through his diplomatic engagement and personal authority, achieved results that left a significant mark on international relations and contributed to stabilising numerous global crises.

“It is clear that President Trump’s diplomatic efforts have produced visible and tangible results in different parts of the world, from Europe, through Africa to Asia and the Middle East. President Trump’s efforts have significantly advanced global safety and security,” the initiative stated.

Cvijanovic added that she believed it was justified for the Presidency of BiH, at its 25th regular session, to consider this agenda item and decide on an official nomination of U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

German outlet Deutsche Welle recently reported that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and former Republika Srpska entity president Milorad Dodik have been making “almost panicked attempts for months to reach U.S. President Donald Trump.”

According to DW, Dodik described his dismissal — following a conviction by the Court of BiH — as “an attempt to prevent him from talking to Trump.” The SNSD leader claims he is being undermined by so-called “Biden loyalists” and insists that things would be different if he had the chance to personally present all the details to Trump.

Cvijanovic’s initiative, observers note, is clearly in line with the efforts of her party leader.
